IMAX Special Effects

Bringing Star Wars to the BIGGER screen

For you FX buffs, the new IMAX picture "Special Effects" brings some of the new scenes to the screens, and gives a very nice inside view of how the new binary makeup on Star Wars will be looking. Recommended viewing.

ILM also put together a special version of the Star Wars opening sequence for the IMAX film directed by Ben Burtt. Very cool to see it that large, but the resolution of the screen has the added disadvantage of rendering the detail of the model VERY visible. It is so crisp that it almost doesn't work. Obviously it is a one-off kind of shot for them, but still stirs your heart to see it roaring overhead.
